Vedanta Institute Hyderabad is a charitable trust registered in Andhra Pradesh. It is founded for the purpose of harmonizing the physical, emotional and intellectual aspects of human beings, without any distinction of colour, race or religion. The institute particularly focuses on the young minds, motivating them to work for an ideal, beyond selfish interests. Swami Parthasarathy has a multi-disciplined academic base with post-graduation from London University. Renouncing a lucrative shipping business early in life he has dedicated his life to study, research and propagation of Vedanta. His writings, discourses and seminars have met with exceptional success and featured in international press and television media. While business, sport and film celebrities regularly seek his counsel.
Vedanta Academy topThe Vedanta Academy is run by the Vedanta Cultural Foundation. The Foundation has been accorded the coveted status of a Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (SIRO) by the Government of India. The Academy is situated amidst the picturesque hills of Malavali,108 kms from Mumbai, in Maharashtra State, India. Founded in 1988 by Swami Parthasarathy, the Academy offers continual three-year residential courses on Vedanta. Men and women between the ages of 18 and 35 are eligible for enrolment irrespective of nationality, race or religion. English is the medium of instruction.
The curriculum includes intense analysis of a range of scriptural texts expounding Vedantic Philosophy. The study is complimented by select works from English literature and poetry. The course also includes a module for training students in Sanskrit language and verses. On completion, graduates are awarded a diploma in Vedantic Philosophy. The Academy disseminates knowledge through a scientific programme of study and contemplation. Encourages a spirit of enquiry. A liberal approach that enables students to apply these principles in life. The course instils physical, mental and intellectual disciplines for comprehensive development of the personality.
